About Us

Formerly KM Leisure Swim School, which was established over 35 years ago, we have recently changed our name. We want to make each individual feel an important part of our team, our swimming community. We are now Swim Squad.

We welcome swimmers of all ages and abilities, from ages 3 through to adults, ranging from the absolute beginner to the more competent swimmer for technique improvement and lifesaving skills. Lessons are tailored to each individual’s ability and needs, and all of our teachers are Swim England or STA qualified and have Enhanced DBS checks.

As a Swim England Swim School Member, we strive to attain the highest possible standard of teaching. We enable our swimmers to achieve their fullest potential, in a friendly and safe environment.

From toddlers and older children through to adults, everyone can be rewarded for the hard work they put into learning to swim and beyond. We make sure our swimmers feel recognised and stay motivated throughout their swimming journey with Swim England certificates and badges.

  • Your payment reserves your child's place for the block booking. We do not offer credits or refunds if a lesson is missed by the swimmer.
  • If for any reason Swim Squad has to cancel a lesson, the cost of that lesson will be deducted from your next payment block, in the event that we are unable to reschedule.

  • Swimmers who are experiencing any infectious illnesses should not attend their lesson until the infectious period is fully over.
  • Swimmers suffering from infections in relation to their ears, eyes, sinuses or chest should not attend their lesson until medically fit to do so.

  • 1 x parent/guardian per child is permitted on the poolside. However, if your child has any specific needs which means a second parent/guardian is required on the poolside, this can be arranged following disclosure of need at registration.
  • Instructors are responsible for the children during their lesson; however, 1 x parent per child must stay on the poolside in the event that their child requires assistance out of the water, i.e. medical need or toilet, etc.
